'The umbrella is never steady' Akufo-Addo jabs NDC

President Akufo-Addo threw a humorous jab at the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) when an umbrella covering him collapsed momentarily at a public event last Sunday.

Speaking at a dubar at Mantse Agboona in Accra, the president was interrupted when the large traditional umbrella folded up on him.

"This is what happens when you have the umbrella. It is never steady", he teased referring to the NDC whose political emblem is the umbrella.
