Ansgar Knauff has taken his first real steps toward a comeback with Eintracht Frankfurt, starting a structured rehab program after his recent bowel operation.
The 24-year-old winger initially recovered at home following the procedure but is now back around the team environment, working daily on his fitness and strength.
According to Wiesbadener Kurier, Knauff is following an individual plan tailored to help him gradually return to full training without risking setbacks. Being back at the club is an important psychological boost as well, allowing him to reconnect with teammates and staff while he rebuilds his condition.
For head coach Albert Riera, however, there is still no clear timeline for when Knauff will be ready for competitive action again. The club is prioritizing his long-term health and is unwilling to rush his return, especially after an operation of this nature.
Eintracht will continue to monitor his progress week by week, hoping he can rejoin the squad later in the season and add his attacking energy back into the side.
