Medeama SC attacker Abdul Salam admitted that their narrow 1-0 victory over Swedru All Blacks was hard-fought but showed his side’s resilience.
The Ghana Premier League leaders edged past All Blacks thanks to a 75th-minute strike from Kamaradini Mamudu. Despite the win, Salam acknowledged that the encounter was far from easy.
"The match was very tough. But like our slogan says we never give up. We didn’t give up and we managed to get the win. They really gave us a match. We will learn from our mistakes and up our game going forward," he said.
Medeama currently lead the league table with 16 points, holding a narrow one-point advantage over Aduana Stars in second place. Their next challenge will be an away fixture against Hohoe United, who sit 10th with eight points.
In their last five matches, Medeama have recorded three wins, one draw, and one loss, while Hohoe United have managed two victories and three defeats. The upcoming clash promises another test of Medeama’s determination and focus.
