James Ampofo ready for Black Stars after earning Norwegian top-flight move

He joins from Raufoss IL in Norways second tier, where he scored six goals and provided one assist in 12 appearances this season.This is a big moment in my career, Ampofo told close sources. Playing in a top-flight league has always been part of my plan, and Im ready to give everything to succeed at this level.With a profile that continues to rise, Ampofo says he is now focused on building consistency and believes a Black Stars call-up would not be out of reach.Ive worked hard to get here, and representing Ghana at the senior level is a dream Ive always had, he said. I know the responsibility that comes with wearing the national colours, and if the call comes, Ill be ready.Ampofo first drew national attention as part of Ghanas U20 team that won the 2021 Africa U20 Cup of Nations. He featured in the semi-final against Cameroon, showing promise with his energy and attacking movement.Strmsgodset officials see him as a key addition to their frontline.
