Ghanaian striker Prince Owusu has expressed his disappointment in 1860 Munich’s 2-2 draw with Ingolstadt in the German Bundesliga 3, but is delighted with his contribution in the match.
Owusu has endured a difficult campaign in the league — failing to find the back of the twine regularly for the side in the third-tier league.
The 22-year-old hitman was however the star man when they played a pulsating 2-2 stalemate at Ingolstadt on Match-day 19.
After Marcel Gaus had given the hosts a 10th minute lead, Owusu brought 1860 Munich back on level terms with a super header in the 16th minute border turning provider for Sascha Mölders three minutes later.
However, the Lions failed to hold on to their slim advantage as Ingolstadt rallied back to snatch a 2-2 draw through Gaus’ 64th minute goal.
Reflecting on the game, Owusu could not hide his joy with his display but lamented on their inability to finish off their opponents.
"I was happy to make one and to be able to put one on the Sascha," said the two-time scorer.
"As a striker you are either the hero or you are the fool. You have to put up with that when you become a footballer. I was the one against Großaspach Fool. ”Roller coaster driver Owusu - from goal-fool to hero.
"I am very disappointed. We have not managed twice to win a majority. Neither is happy about a point in the second division because there was more in it. We could have put a huge exclamation mark and attacked at the top."
