BREAKING NEWS: South African side Stellenbosch FC release forward Dickson Afoakwa

South African top-flight side Stellenbosch FC have terminated by mutual agreement the contract of Ghanaian forward Dickson Afoakwa.

Stellenbosch FC made the announcement on their official Twitter account on Wednesday morning.

Afoakwa signed for the Western Cape outfit in July and has since not been able to force his way into a regular first team place.

Stellenbosch are battling for their life in the PSL as they are rocking the very bottom on the table.

Afoakwa's release from the club open up international spots for incoming signings.

Stellenbosch will be augmenting their squad in the January transfer window as they hope to avoid the drop at the end of the season.
