Ghana Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah has urged the Youth and Sports Ministry to provide accommodation for the various national team coaches.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports handed over a 3 bedroom storey apartment to the head coach of the Black Stars Kwasi Appiah on Tuesday, an initiative that is saving government several thousands of dollars dashed out yearly into accommodation for coaches.
The apartment which is located at the Airport Residential Area is expected to be the official residence for all coaches who will handle the Black Stars from hence.
This is the first time in the history of Ghana that the Sports Ministry has been able to take such a bold step in securing the accommodation.
And coach Appiah has called on the Sports ministry to replicate the move for the various national team heads in the near future.
"For a nation to be paying for coaches to stay in a hotel is not worth it and i hope that in future we will have all national team coaches get accommodation like this," he said.
"I thank the Sports Ministry for this and it is a huge support for us to do well."
