Ghanaian-born French defender Enock Kwarteng has turned down a loan deal to join English lower side Oldham Athletic, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 20-year-old, who is on the books of Nantes, is deemed surplus to requirement at the French club.
The defender visited the facility of Oldham alongside Nantes teammates Wilfred Moimbém, 29, last week but refused to sign a loan deal.
The former France youth international has returned to Nantes to explore other options.
Kwarteng is a France youth international having represented the country from U16 to U20 levels.
Of Ghanaian descent Kwarteng has represented France at U16, U17, U18, U19, and U20 levels.
