Former Asante Kotoko skipper Issah Ahmed has blasted referee Samuel Sukah for awarding a dubious penalty to Hearts of Oak against Kotoko in the Super Clash on Sunday insisting the center man must be banned.
The PE Tutor of St. Thomas Acquinas SHS awarded the Phobians an 82nd minute penalty when Ahmed Adams went very low to block Samuel Yeboah’s shot.
Suka pointed to the spot to the amazement of all when the drive went straight into the back of the defender.
Vincent Atingah expertly converted the spot kick to end his side’s winless run over the Porcupine Warriors since 2009 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Minutes after the game, the former Kotoko skipper tweeted that the referee must be banned for bringing the image of the game into disrepute.
To him, that decision from the middle man changed the beauty of the game.
