Dutch-born Akwasi Asante powers brace to record victory for Solihull Moors in English lower-tier
Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Akwasi Asante scored both goals to propel Solihull Moors to a 2-0 North Ferriby United in the English fifth-tier league on Sunday.
The former Birmingham City striker netted a goal in each half as Solihull Moors recovered from back-to-back defeats in impressive style.
Asante tucked away his opener just after the half-hour mark and saved his best until 14 minutes from time when he delivered a rasping left-footed thunderbolt into the roof of the net, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance of stopping his effort.
The 24-year-old has now scored 11 goals in 17 outings for Moors this season.
