Dr Bin Salih assured the Director of the readiness of the Regional Coordinating Council to collaborate with the Feed Roads Department to improve on the state of roads in the region to boost economic activities.
He gave the assurance that the release of $4 billion by the government to pay road contractors was an indication of commitment of the government to improve the road sector.
He appealed to road contractors in the region to go back to site to complete their projects for the good of the people, and assured them of government's readiness to fulfill its part of the contract.
He also told the director that road contractors in the region were competent enough to execute contracts when they were given the opportunity, and lobbied for road contractors in the region to be considered with major contracts awards.
