Nana Nicholas Cobbinah, Western North Regional Chief Farmer who received the cheque on behalf of the beneficiaries, commended the company for the scholarship, which he said would go a long way to assist the students.
He commended the government for increasing the producer price of cocoa this year despite the fall in price at the international level, and was optimistic the price would increase next year.
Mr Cobbinah further advised farmers across the country to take advantage of the free senior high school policy and send their wards to school and ask students to take their studies serious.
