LONDON, July 11, (Xinhua/GNA) - A man has been arrested after climbing over Buckingham Palace's front gates in the early hours of Wednesday morning, local media reported, citing the Metropolitan Police Service.
The 22-year-old man, who has not been identified by the police, was not carrying a weapon at the time and the incident is not being treated as terror-related.
Police said the man was held on suspicion of trespass by specialist royal officers.
A palace spokesperson confirmed that the Queen was in residence at the time.
