All children deserve attention and investment - Emmnarg Foundation

Tema June 2, GNA - The President of Emmnarg Groupe Foundation says society should desist from supporting only needy but brilliant students because it is a way of sidelining and denying others from reaching their potentials in life.

Mr. Emmanuel Nargeh says, “We should focus on needy students in general because there are people who are needy but not brilliant, but that might not mean they are weak, but probably because academics may not be their field; everybody has what would make them excellent if those traits are developed.”

Mr. Nargeh said this on Friday on the sidelines of the presentation of mathematical sets to some pupils in selected schools in the Shai Osudoku District of the Greater Accra Region to assist pupils in their preparations towards the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) which comes off shortly.

He indicated that some persons were not brilliant because they were needy and they believed that no matter how hard they tried, they were not going to continue their education, and therefore a little help could motivate them to work harder.“

"So as we have gone there and demonstrated love and told them that they are not so different from us, the pupils could be inspired to work harder, and so needy and not so bright students need a little help to pull them up,” Mr. Nargeh said.

He explained the need for the distribution of the mathematical sets by saying “these are necessary tools for their examination and therefore thought it wise to take off the burden on parents in providing such facilities for their children since most of their parents were deprived.”

He explained that this gesture in distributing the mathematical sets was also to inspire the students “who would be gingered with the little we have done today so that even if the person is reluctant to learn, it would propel them to learn and force them to achieve success.”

Mr. Nargeh encouraged the well to do to go back to their indigenous communities and help them develop and that would inspire the young ones to aspire to achieve greatness.

Emmnarg Groupe Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization aimed at improving the standard of living of people with special focus on rural and deprived areas.

As part of their maiden donation, they distributed about four hundred mathematical sets to some schools in the Shai Osu District. Some of the schools that benefited included the Manya Jorpanya D/A Basic, Dorwumu D/A Basic, Asebi D/A Basic, Ayikuma Methodist Basic, and Agomeda D/A Basic schools

Currently, the sponsor of the NGO is, Nene Dr. Teidjahene Korabo IV, Divisional Chief of Manya and the Senior Asafoatse of the Shai State.
