Accra, April 24, GNA - The Dunwell Methodist Church New Legon society has appealed to Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO’s) to support the Senior Correctional Centre - Borstal Home at Roman Ridge in Accra.
The church made the appeal during a visit to the centre led by the Reverend Darko Mperey, the Minister in Charge.
Other members of the delegation were; Dr. Godwin K. Adjei, the Choir Master, Mr Emmanuel A. Frimpong, Secretary, Mr. Anthony Sam, Finance Steward and members of the church choir.
A statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Wednesday said the church donated a quantity of food and drinks and fellowshipped with the inmates through singing and sharing of the gospel to them.
The church members and the inmates also had fun games including; football and volleyball games.
According to the statement, the church leaders were impressed with the professionalism and discipline exhibited by the Prison Officers.
