Takoradi, April 10, GNA - President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will, on Wednesday, commence a two-day working visit to the newly created Western North Region to engage and cut the sod for some development projects there.
The President is expected to arrive mid-day where he would be welcomed by the chiefs and people of the area at a colourful durbar at Bibiani-Anhweaso-Bekwai.
Mr Samuel Adu Agyei, the Western Regional Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), said this on Wednesday during a press briefing.
At Bibiani-Anhweaso-Bekwai the President would cut the sod for the construction of the main campus of the Bibiani College of Health Sciences and pay a courtesy call on the Wiawso/Sefwimanhene.
He would also cut the sod for the construction of the Sefwi Wiawso town roads and later inspect the proposed site for the construction of the Western North Regional Coordinating Council to end the first leg of the two-day visit.
President Akufo-Addo would start his second day of activities at Bia West (Essaman) to cut the sod for the construction of a warehouse, Juaboso town roads and move to Suaman (Dadieso) to commission an upgraded District Health Hospital.
The President and his entourage would proceed to Sefwi Akontombra for a Townhall Meeting with the chiefs and people to run up activities in the Western North Region.
