Accra, March 20, GNA - A spirited performance by experienced Immigration Ladies ensured they picked their first win against Samaria Ladies in the ongoing Normalization Committee Women’s Special Competition (NCWSC).
The match played at the Accra Technical Training Centre (ATTC) at Kokomlemle, saw Immigration Ladies lifted their game from their previous three matches played to grab their first win in the competition.
After a barren first half, it was the Immigration Ladies who drew first blood through Patience Narh to gift her side the first victory.
Narh capitalized on a defensive blunder to punish her opponent in the 46th minute.
Immigration, who had former Black Queens player, Adwoa Bayor in their set up inspired her side to finish victorious.
Samaria Ladies captain, Leticia Adjei started pilling pressure on the defense of the visitors from the 70th minute to pull parity for her side but her shots were saved by Black Queens goalie Patricia Mantey.
Samaria and Immigration Ladies will meet Halifax and Police Ladies respectively at the weekend.
