MOSCOW, Russia, Feb. 18, GNA – Dr. Lesley Akyaa Opoku Ware, Ghana’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia, has presented her credentials to the Armenian President, Armen Sarkissian, at a ceremony in Yerevan, capital of Armenia.
President Sarkissian congratulated and wished her success, and expressed confidence that she would use her huge experience to develop the relations between the two nations.
Armenia, he said, attached great importance to the development of the relations with African countries, including the revitalization of the relations with Ghana.
President Sarkissian and Dr. Opoku Ware spoke broadly about the opportunities for a mutually beneficial cooperation in different areas.
Agriculture, information technology (IT) and education are areas the two nations could deepen their bilateral cooperation.
They agreed to maintain close contacts, promote political dialogue, conduct consultations between the foreign ministries and provide a firm working basis for mutual cooperation.
Dr. Opoku-Ware said her office would work towards strengthening the relationship between Armenia and Ghana.
The Ambassador is resident in Moscow.
