Ho, Feb. 16, GNA - A Ho Circuit Court presided over by Madam Priscilla Dikro has remanded Hamidu Ali, 20, a herdsman, into police custody for allegedly stealing a motorbike.
Prosecuting, Sergeant Everton Kwau, told the court that on November 25, 2017, at about 0830 hours, the accused who is a resident of Baleshie- Kpong and one other person, now at large hired the complainant, Kwame Amefu, motor rider to take them to Botikope near Juapong.
He said midway through the journey, the accused poured powdered pepper onto the face of the complainant and with the help of his accomplice forcibly pushed the complainant off the motorbike and took it away.
Sergeant Kwau said the complainant reported the incident to the Police leading to the arrest of the accused on November 27, 2017, whilst offering the stolen motorbike for sale at Ashaiman, a suburb of Accra.
