Black Stars forward Inaki Williams officially married his longtime girlfriend, Patricia Morales, in a colorful wedding ceremony held in Bilbao, Spain.
The couple’s special day began with a beautiful ceremony at the Basilica of Begona on the late afternoon of Saturday, June 1, 2024, followed by a lavish reception at the renowned Palacio de San Miguel in Sodupe.
The wedding was well-attended by the Athletic Bilbao team, with the notable exceptions of Simón and Vivian, who were away on international duty with Spain.
As a key player for Bilbao, Williams was surrounded by his friends and teammates as he exchanged vows with Patricia, making for a heartwarming scene.
Williams’ younger brother, Nico Williams, was granted permission to leave the Spanish national team camp to attend the wedding, further adding to the familial atmosphere of the event.
It was filled with family members and close friends celebrating the couple’s union.

This comes at a high point in Williams’ career, as he recently played a pivotal role in helping Athletic Bilbao secure their first Copa del Rey title since 1984, including scoring a crucial goal against Barcelona in the knockout stages. His stellar performances have not gone unnoticed, earning him the title of the best African player in La Liga.

Unfortunately, Williams could not make the latest Black Stars squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers due to fitness issues. He recently underwent surgery to remove a 2cm piece of glass that had been lodged in his foot for over two years and is currently recovering.

Ghana will face Mali on June 6 in Bamako before taking on the Central African Republic (CAR) in Kumasi on June 10. With their World Cup qualifying hopes on the line, the Black Stars are eager to secure victories in both upcoming fixtures.
