Accra, Dec. 27, GNA - The Leadership of Nasrul Lahil Fatih Society (NASFAT), an Islamic Organisation, has ended its Fourth Biennial General Conference with a call on members to develop peaceful co-existence and good relationship with one another.
Alhaji Mahroof Abdulazeer Onike, the Chief Missionary, NASFAT Worldwide, urged members to respect each other’s opinion and live together in harmony.
The Fourth Biennial Conference was on the theme: " NASFAT: Aligning with Global Diversity."
He said the choice of the theme was premised on their realisation that the essence, meaning and effects of diversity were often undermined because its management was relatively appreciated.
He said: "We strongly believe that Diversity management is the key to growth; it is our desire to make it authentic."
He said the leadership, therefore, seeks to explore the principle of diversity as a divine phenomenon for internal growth and external relevancy across the Globe.
Alhaji Onike said members must be able to accommodate each other in the spirit of togetherness and tolerate each other’s views and opinions regardless of tribe, race and religion.
"We, therefore, call on members to dedicate themselves to peace and co-existence," he added.
He said the objectives of NASFAT was to ensure that everyone recognizes that he or she was created in the image of Allah.
He said over the years, NASFAT had disbursed over $30,000 to the less privileged in society and this was done, regardless of tribe, race among others.
Alhajia Babalola Gyaniyat, the National Children Affairs Secretary, NASFAT said the conference was to give members the opportunity to meet others from different branches and to deliberate on issues of interest to the organisation.
She said NASFAT has been empowering women of the organisation in skills development to create jobs and wealth for members.
"We also empower our children, because we want them to be well skilled, not only in terms of education, but in other fields they find themselves as well."
She said over a period, UNICEF has been partnering with NASFAT to champion the campaign against Child Abuse, and with these, parents should treat their children with love and care and there should be no form of abuse against children.
Mr Mawuli M. Braimah, Zonal Youth Leader, NASFAT Ghana, told the GNA that the biennial conference was held in Ghana because NASFAT wanted to expand into the country and also to see how best they could encourage members to come on board and join their activities.
He said there are three branches in Ghana; Kumasi, Accra and Denu.
He called on members to avail themselves to be trained and "we need to interact more with our Nigerian counterparts than ever to acquire skills to promote the brand, since that is where the organisation started from.
