Accra, March 20, GNA – Two customised funeral cloth produced by Akosombo Textile Limited (ATL) for the late coach, Sam Arday, who died on February 12, has been released.
The cloth is embossed with the picture of late Coach Arday, Adinkra symbols and other accolades.
The cloth has been made available on the market.
Sam Hemans-Arday, son of the late Coach Arday, said: “The cloth is selling for GH? 100 and is available at the family house at Lartebiokorshie, and Orient Express at Makola (Angelina Stores).”
This follows the family’s visit to two past presidents of Ghana to announce the funeral arrangements and the visit from the Inspector General of Police, David Asante Apeatu, and the top brass of the Ghana Police Service to sign the book of condolences.
IGP Apeatu said: “Late Coach Sam Arday was an outstanding and distinguished officer who served the nation diligently in various capacities from 1967 to 2000, when he voluntarily retired from the police service.”
He added: “His dedication to duty, hardwork and discipline was evident in the many awards to his credit and raising the image of Ghana Police Service.”
