Alhaji Boniface Abubakar Saddique, the Member of Parliament for Madina, has given the assurance that he would ensure unity prevails and mobilise the people towards the development of the area.
He said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had won the seat for the first time since it was created in 2004 adding that the confidence reposed in the party would not go to waste.
Alhaji Saddique, who is also the Minister-Designate for Inner City and Zongo Community Development, said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency after worshipping with the Emmanuel Believers Ministries at Madina on Sunday to say Thank-You to the people.
He expressed gratitude to his constituent for giving him the mandate to represent them in Parliament.
Alhaji Saddique attributed the NPP’s victory to the work of God and the hard work of the members of the campaign teams who undertook community-to-community campaign to sell the party’s policies to Ghanaians.
He assured the nation that the Government, under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo, would put in place a policy framework that would help businesses expand and create jobs through entrepreneurship opportunities for young Ghanaians.
Apostle Sammy Akuamoah Boateng, the General Overseer of Emmanuel Believers Ministries, congratulated Alhaji Saddique for being the first NPP member to win the seat.
He appealed to him to help rehabilitate the deplorable roads in the community to improve the living standards of the people.
The Reverend Henry Tetteh, Head of the Saviour Temple of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, also congratulated Alhaji Saddique for winning the seat and expressed the hope that he would do everything possible to ensure jobs were created for the youth.
