DKB
For the fear of contracting COVID-19, comedian DKB ignored a plea to remove a face mask he was wearing on live TV on Friday so viewers could hear him clearly.
The comedian, who appears not taking chances in this COVID-19 pandemic era, was a guest on The Late Night Celebrity Show hosted by Foster Romanus on ETV.
During the show, the host told him viewers “can’t hear you well so take the mask off. This is your camera and you are not facing me. The distance is still two metres…people say they can’t hear you.”
However, the former Big Brother Africa housemate ignored the request.
“They can hear me. They should stop using hunchback television. There are flat TVs now,” he said.
Many had thought he would remove the mask, but he didn’t till the show ended.
Wearing of face masks is currently one of the main safety protocols against COVID-19 infection.
President Akufo-Addo, in his eighth address to update on national efforts to stem the spread of the virus, suggested a compulsory wearing of face masks. Government has since been pushing that protocol.
DKB’s resolution to wear the mask on the show follows the President’s directive, and this served as an example to many viewers not to take chances in a time like this.
