Ghanaian Real Estate mogul, Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Freedom Jacob Caesar, has called on Ghanaians in the diaspora not to hesitate to return home and help in building the country with their vast skills and ideas acquired overseas.
Speaking at the third annual edition of The Ghanaian Dream: A moment with Freedom organized by Bridge Partners, he said Africans can build their countries themselves without any external support when they come together as one continent.
He said it is sad to see some Ghanaians abroad usually visit home purposely for Christmas and Easter Holidays rather than returning to invest and contribute to national development.
“It saddens me to see Ghanaians abroad visiting their motherland only on holidays. I think the time has come for Ghanaians in the diaspora to come back and help our societies with their skills and ideas rather than utilizing it on foreign lands. We blacks can make Africa work as we see abroad” he said.
Nana Kwame Bediako also took the opportunity to emphasize the need to invest in industrialization as one of the surest ways to tackle the rate of unemployment in the country and offer a decent living for many.
He said industrialization is everything and can create jobs and also empower citizens to create wealth for the right economic balance.
“In my network of creating wealth, I have been to different places all over the world and one thing I have learned is that Africa is lacking in industrialization.
Industrial power is everything and can help create jobs to enable citizens buy houses and cater for themselves always”, Nana Kwame Bediako said.
Freedom Jacob Caesar said in 2021, his aim is to serve the public by creating more employment, more platforms, build telecommunications platforms, technology hubs, and petroleum and energy cities among many others.
This third edition of The Ghanaian Dream took place in Ghana for the first time, as the event historically takes place in Amsterdam, attracting people from all over Europe.
Terry Afram, the Founder and Managing Director of Bridge Partners and the originator of the event, emphasized the need for such programs to empower Ghanaians, both at home and diaspora for the benefit of the country.
The event was attended by many distinguished guests including Michael Blackson, Michael Dapaah, Kika Goodhair, and Majid Michel among others.
