Anglogold Ashanti, Obuasi Mine will partner the National Board for Small Scale Industries, Obuasi to roll out a massive Client’s Exhibition and trade show in Obuasi in the Ashanti Region.
The exhibition show which would be under the theme ‘promoting made in Ghana products’ will be held from 19th to 24th February 2019.
Senior Manager of Sustainability at Anglogold Ashanti, Nana Ampofo Bekoe said the show will serve as a one-stop shop for goods produced locally.
He thus encouraged the people of Obuasi to take advantage of the platform to advertise their products.
President Nana Akufo-Addo in January 2019 re-opened the Anglogold Ashanti gold mine in Obuasi, which had been closed since 2014.
It is expected that once the company has resumed full operations, more people will come to Obuasi and this will obviously boost the economic activities in the area.
“It is important to encourage businesses to take advantage of the reopening of the mine,” Mr. Bekoe stated.
The programme is wholly sponsored by Anglo Gold Ashanti.
It will take place at Black Park near Len Clay Sports Stadium within the said dates.
