Management of Ghana’s leading business newspaper, the Business and Financial Times (B&FT), has paid a courtesy visit on Telecel Ghana at the company’s head office in Accra.
Led by its Chief Executive Officer – Dr. Godwin Acquaye, the visit aimed to express appreciation for the ongoing partnership and explore opportunities for deeper collaboration in the coming years.
Dr. Acquaye explained that the visit aligns with B&FT’s annual tradition of engaging with key partners to strengthen bonds and identify mutual growth opportunities.
He also took the opportunity to highlight B&FT’s flagship events for 2025, including the Ghana Economic Forum (GEF), Youth Economic Forum, Women in Business dialogue series, Outstanding Brands Conference, Business Breakfast Meetings, the Environmental Sustainability Summit and others.
These events, he noted, would present opportunities for collaboration between B&FT and Telecel Ghana to achieve impactful outcomes.
Dr. Acquaye also provided insights into B&FT’s efforts to expand its digital presence, highlighting the newspaper’s commitment to adapting to changing audience needs.
“The pandemic accelerated our transition to digital, and we have worked hard to ensure our content remains accessible and relevant. This shift has allowed us to serve our audience more effectively while reaching a wider global community,” Dr. Acquaye noted.
Manager of Foundation, Sustainability and External Communications at Telecel Ghana, Rita Agyeiwaa Rockson, welcomed the B&FT team and expressed the company’s enthusiasm to strengthen its partnership.
She highlighted Telecel’s focus on driving leadership and business growth, particularly among small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and emphasised the importance of partnerships in achieving these goals.
She also noted collaborative opportunities in areas such as environmental sustainability and youth empowerment.
Ms. Rockson further emphasised shared goals, including contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through impactful storytelling and strategic programmes.
“We are very pleased to have you here and look forward to working closely to champion initiatives that promote leadership and transformation in the SME sector. By leveraging strategic collaborations, we can amplify our efforts and create meaningful impacts,” Ms. Rockson said.
Director of Legal and External Affairs at Telecel Ghana, Augusta Andrews, commended B&FT for its role in promoting business excellence and expressed optimism about future collaborations.
“B&FT has consistently demonstrated its value as a trusted media partner. We are excited about the possibilities for working together on programmes that focus on sustainability, leadership and business growth,” she remarked.
The meeting concluded with both organisations expressing optimism about the future and exploring ways to align efforts in promoting sustainability, business development and leadership.
