Ada — A group of people, numbering about 200, calling themselves Concerned Youth of Ada-Foah, in the Greater Accra, on Thursday demonstrated against the installation of Nene Terkpetey Daddah Tettey-Ga V, as the Chief of Ada-Foah.
The demonstrators most of whom were dressed in black and red cloth with red arm and head bands, held placards some of which read, 'Don't impose Daddah on us', 'DCE don't meddle in our chieftaincy matters', 'We want peace, stop the chieftaincy corruption'.
The group led by one Nene Blemano Odehe Yibuer, a traditional ruler, gave a two- week ultimatum to the Ada Traditional Council to reverse the installation process, or the youth would resort to another action.
He also accused the District Chief Executive, Ms Sarah Dugbartey Pobee, of meddling in the chieftaincy affairs of the town, an allegation she denied when contacted by journalists.
The demonstration started from Ada-Foah to Big Ada and back to Ada-Foah, after which a petition was presented to the Ada Traditional Council.
The Registrar of the Ada Traditional Council, Mr Richard Azameti, who received the petition, promised to present it to the Ada Paramount Chief.
