Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, the Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies (JGC), brought joy to thousands of Ghanaians on New Year’s Day with a generous donation drive.
Over 4,000 people from diverse backgrounds gathered at his residence in American House, East Legon, Accra, to receive food items and essential supplies.
The event saw a large turnout, with beneficiaries, including senior citizens, women, men, and youth, arriving as early as 6:00 a.m. Each recipient received a 5-kilogram bag of rice, cooking oil, soft drinks, Mackerel sardine, and transport fare.
Prior to the distribution, a prayer session was held, led by the Chaplain of JGC, Pastor Daniel Danso, where many individuals accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
According to Madam Emma Adwoa Appiaa Osei-Duah, Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs at Zoomlion Ghana Limited, this act of philanthropy is a testament to Dr. Siaw Agyepong’s commitment to giving back to society.
“This is not the first time Dr. Siaw Agyepong and his family have undertaken such a generous initiative,” she said. “It started some years back in the neighborhood and has now evolved to include beneficiaries from far and wide, including Nsawam, Koforidua, and Kasoa.”
