Chairman of NDC Manifesto Committee on Employment and Job Creation, Augustus Goosie Tanoh has said the poor performance of the current government is the reason his party will win the 2024 elections.
Speaking on TV3’s Hot Issues on Sunday, December 1, 2024 Goosie Tanoh explained that the soaring cedi to dollar rates, the record-high inflation rates and high unemployment rates coupled with the high debt figures recorded under the Akufo-Addo administration is worsening the plight of Ghanaians.
According to Goosie Tanoh, Ghanaians are ready to change government due to the economic hardships and will vote for John Mahama and the NDC.
“I think the most telling propulsion for NDC’s victory is the record of this administration in terms of its non-achievement with regards to policies that it initiated and campaigned on and unfortunately it has failed very tremendously and will bare very serious consequence for us as a people.
“That record and the hardships that Ghanaians are facing at the household level are what propels people to want to have a dramatic change,” he told host, Kemini Amanor.
He is confident that John Mahama will provide more jobs for Ghanaian youth.
