The visit to the Okaishie and Makola markets on September 16, afforded NAPO the opportunity to engage with traders who occupy germane spots in the plans of the next NPP administration.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s bold vision to implement wide-ranging tax reforms out of which comes the flat tax system is was welcoming news to them.
He also highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s vision to ensure exchange rate stability for business planning and price stability.
The traders appreciated government’s efforts and record in the Free Senior High School policy, restoration of Nursing and Teacher Training allowances, as well as power stability at the lowest increase in tarriffs for businesses, among others, as ways of reducing their burdens.

During a rally, NAPO announced plans by the next NPP government to establish a Women’s Trade Empowerment Fund.
“The fund, among others aims to deepen access to credit, a critical issue for small businesses, particularly those led by women,” he told the enthusiastic crowd of party supporters and market traders.
