Minister of Public Enterprises Joseph Cudjoe has paid a familiarisation visit to the National Lottery Authority (NLA).
He was welcomed by the Director General, Sammy Awuku, his deputy, Anna Horma Miezah, and other management executives.
The visit was for the Minister to learn at first hand happenings at the Authority and ways to strengthen and make it more efficient.
“If you will recall, I took up this position with the sole aim to make state owned enterprises profitable,” the Minister said.
Direct General of the Authority Sammy Awuku listed some successes, over the period, including remarkable improvements in revenue from their online partner KGL as well as the introduction of NLA games to Nigeria and Burkina Faso.
The team also discussed, “the success of the Caritas Lottery Platform and the Good Causes Foundation”.
The Minister of Public Enterprises applauded the Authority for the “the turnaround and I’m hoping that you will not rest on your oars but to keep working to not only maintain but to keep improving on the gains”.
