Award-winning artiste manager and promoter Elorm Beenie says that money is the least on the requirement list when accepting an artiste to promote or manage.
Explaining his point on the 3FM Drive, Elorm Beenie told Giovani that an artist aiming to break through must first have passion and drive for music.
The talent must also be ready to unlearn most of the things he knows and willing to be taught new things as his career progresses.
“First you should have the drive or the passion. Number two, you should be ready and willing to learn, and you should be ready to unlearn, and you should be ready to re-learn on the journey,” he said.
While many will tip budget and funding as top on their list, Elorm believes that is secondary in the hierarchy of needs.
“There are people who bring money, but the content is chaff. I have a standard to keep. So I can’t say because of money, I will look into that. Aside from budget, what am I pushing?” he quizzed.
Without these things in place, Elorm Beenie is convinced all the artiste will not produce tracks but trash.
Elorm Beenie is an artist manager and promoter who currently works with two times Grammy Nominated artist Rocky Dawuni.
