A Nigerian woman met her untimely death at the hands of her husband after he drove his car over her. According to reports, Nike Ayedun tried to prevent her husband from driving away with her phone.
Nike Ayedun, a banker in Abuja, was killed by her husband when he crashed her with a car. She was trying to get back her phone which he had ceased to prevent her from calling anyone.
SaharaReporters reported that Nike discovered that her husband, Makanjuola Ayedun, had broken into her money. Upon confronting him, he beat her up and took her phone. So she could not call anyone.
The reports said, “After beating the hell out of her in the house, he collected her phone so that she could not call anyone. The man went outside and turned on his car’s engine while he came down to the open gate. Nike ran to the gate for her phone. The husband said he would crush and kill her, and before she knew what was happening, the man knocked her down with full force while reversing the car.”
Makanjuola tried to run away when he realized he had killed his wife. Fortunately, he was apprehended and handed to the police. Nike was a mother of two boys and the sole breadwinner for the family as her husband is unemployed.
