Member of Parliament for Tema West Constituency Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah has showed up in Parliament for the first time after fully recovering from Covid-19.
Mr Ahenkorah had suffered the deadly disease despite not showing symptoms.
He had later been on overnight admission at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, where he witnessed the passing away of Forestry Commission boss Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John.
But the former deputy minister attracted public criticism for visiting some registration centres at the start of the voter registration exercise despite not having been cleared recovered.
He justified the incident by adducing that as an asymptomatic patient and having stayed at least 10 days in hospital, he was free to move about.
On Saturday, he received clearance from the Ghana Health Service (GHS) that he has recovered despite a warning that that does not immune him from contracting the disease again.
The backlash led to his resignation as the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry.
On Wednesday, he was seen in the chamber of Parliament for the first time since his recovery.
