Ghana’s coronavirus case count has shot up by 921 confirmations, from 3,091 on Wednesday, May 6 to 4,012 on Friday, May 8.
This is believed to come from the backlog of tests conducted by the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research into Tropical Medicine (KCCR) in Kumasi.
It is almost two months since Ghana recorded its first case of the deadly viral disease.
In its latest update on its portal, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) gives the number of recoveries at 323 with no additional deaths from the previous 18.
