Issaka Deni, a watchman and said to be 72 years, was found lying dead in a pool of blood at the outskirt of Sapeliga on April 14, the Police said.
A police officer on duty on Tuesday was sweeping the surroundings of the station when he saw the victim lying flooded in the pool of blood and reported the case to the Sapeliga police station.
The body of Deni was sent to Bawku Presbyterian hospital for autopsy and where pathologists confirmed he was hit in the forehead with an object leading to his death.
The body was later released to the family of the deceased for burial.
The residents who stormed the Police Station
Earlier, residents stormed thePolice office station where they vandalised property, including the windscreen of the Police district headquarters vehicle. Police reinforcement was called from the district to calm the situation.
Investigations into the matter has commenced to find the killers of Demi.
