Ghanaian forward Rudolf Junior Nana Mensah is set to join newly promoted Egyptian Premier League side El Qanah FC as a free agent.
The 24-year-old striker's contract with Swedru All Blacks expired at the end of June, making him available on a free transfer.
Mensah played a key role in Swedru All Blacks' promotion campaign, scoring 27 goals in 21 appearances during the 2024/25 Division One League season.
He followed that up with 11 goals in 32 Premier League appearances in the 2025/26 season , and was nominated for the NASCO Player of the Month award for December 2025.
El Qanah FC, based in Ismailia, secured promotion to the Egyptian Premier League after winning the 2025â26 Egyptian Second Division A title. The club, also known as Canal SC, will be looking to Mensah to lead their attack as they compete in the top flight for the first time in a long time.
Mensah had attracted strong interest from Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko, as well as Medeama SC and Aduana FC, but El Qanah have won the race for his signature. The forward also has experience abroad, having played for Birmingham Legion FC in the USL Championship in 2020 .
The transfer marks the latest chapter in Mensah's career, following previous spells with Liberty Professionals, Golden Kick SC, and Swedru All Blacks. He also earned a call-up to the Ghana B national team in December 2025.
The deal is now complete, with Mensah already in Egypt and expected to be officially confirmed in the coming days.
