The 2026 GFA Elite U15 Boys Championship came to an end on Wednesday at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram after six days of football action.
The tournament, organised under FIFA's Talent Development Scheme (TDS), brought together some of the country's most promising young players from regional teams and elite academies.
The competition served as an important platform for talent identification and player development, with scouts and technical officials closely monitoring performances throughout the championship.
Several notable figures from Ghana football attended the closing ceremony, including former Black Stars players Jacob Nettey, Godwin Attram, Hamza Mohammed, Abukari Damba and Laryea Kingston, who is currently head coach of Uganda's junior national teams.
Ghana Football Association Technical Director Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah and CAF coaching instructor Hesterine were also present to witness the conclusion of the tournament.
As part of the closing ceremony, certificates of participation were presented to all competing teams and academies in recognition of their contribution to the championship.
Young referees who officiated matches under the GFA's Catch Them Young Refereeing Programme were also honoured for their efforts during the competition.
The championship once again highlighted the GFA's commitment to youth football development, with several players showcasing their talent and potential for future national team opportunities.
The Elite U15 Boys Championship has become a key part of Ghana's football development structure, helping to identify and nurture the next generation of players for the country.
