Bibiani Gold Stars assistant coach Ernest Okyere has insisted that the title race is far from over, rallying his players to bounce back quickly after a 2-0 loss to league leaders Medeama SC.
A brace from Salim Adams moved Medeama five points clear at the top with four matches remaining, but Okyere refused to accept defeat.
"We need to go back, and on Wednesday, we need to make amends and close the gap," he said after the match.
Despite the result, the assistant coach was encouraged by his team's display. "Nothing went badly. My players proved we have revamped the team, and that impressed me a lot," he added.
With 12 points still up for grabs, Okyere believes the title can still be won. Gold Stars now turn their attention to a home clash against FC Samartex as they seek to keep their championship hopes alive.
