Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo received a warm reception from his Black Stars teammates after helping Manchester City win the Carabao Cup.
The squad formed a guard of honour ahead of Monday’s training session, with players applauding and playfully tapping Semenyo as he ran through, celebrating his achievement.
Semenyo was part of the City side that defeated Arsenal 2-0 at Wembley on Sunday to secure the trophy, marking the first major title of his career.
The gesture reflected the strong team spirit within the Black Stars camp as preparations continue for upcoming international friendlies.
Ghana are currently based in Vienna, where they will face Austria on Friday, March 27, before taking on Germany three days later.
The matches form part of preparations for the 2026 World Cup in North America. Ghana have been drawn in a group alongside Panama, Croatia and England.
Semenyo’s achievement adds a positive note to camp, with the forward expected to play a key role as Ghana fine-tune their squad ahead of the tournament.
