British-born Ghanaian performance specialist Dwayne Peasah Paa Kwesi has been appointed Performance Coach of the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Peasah Paa Kwesi joins the Black Stars backroom staff with responsibility for physical conditioning, player optimisation, workload management, and overall performance enhancement throughout the World Cup campaign. He is regarded as a familiar figure within the national team environment, having previously supported the setup when called upon.
His appointment forms part of a broader technical expansion following Ghana’s qualification for the 2026 World Cup, which Canada, Mexico, and the United States will host. The move aligns with the GFA’s long-standing practice of strengthening the Black Stars’ technical and support staff for major international tournaments.
The performance coach is expected to work closely with the medical and coaching teams to ensure players maintain peak fitness levels during preparations and competition, particularly given the demands of a congested international calendar.
Peasah Paa Kwesi will operate under the leadership of head coach Otto Addo, as Ghana aim to make a strong impact at the global showpiece.
