Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford is expecting a challenging encounter against Asante Kotoko this weekend in their Week 21 clash of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The Kpando-based club will welcome the Porcupine Warriors to the Kpando Sports Stadium on Saturday, January 31, in a game both teams are aiming to amass all three points.
Speaking in his pre-match interview, Bashir Hayford described the upcoming contest as one that will be very tough.
The coach, however, is confident that Heart of Lions can match Asante Kotoko and secure a positive result at the end of the game.
“I think it is a very tedious task. It is a match where we shouldn’t underrate anybody. We are preparing very well because we know they are a strong team. They are back to their winning ways. Although we are struggling, we will make sure we will prepare well to meet them,” Bashir Hayford told Heart of Lions TV.
The Week 21 fixture between Heart of Lions and Asante Kotoko is scheduled to kick off at 3:30 pm on Sunday.
Heart of Lions need the points to get their season back on track, while Asante Kotoko will be aiming to pick all three points to push their title ambitions.
