Semper Fi will be eager to regroup and return to winning ways after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Accra Lions at the McDan Sports Complex in Teshie, their first loss in over a month.
The setback compounded a difficult run for Semper Fi, who came into the fixture on the back of four consecutive draws. Determined to end their winless streak, they showed intent but lacked the composure and sharpness required in the final third.
Accra Lions made the most of their opportunity early in the contest, with captain Lawrence Norkplim finding the net in the 12th minute. The goal proved decisive and also brought an end to Lions’ own seven-game winless run.
Despite the defeat, Semper Fi remain second on the league table with 30 points, a position that reflects the consistency they showed earlier in the campaign. However, the recent dip in results has increased the urgency to rediscover their cutting edge.
Attention now turns to their next fixture against Nania FC, where Semper Fi will be determined to bounce back, restore confidence, and halt a run of games without a victory.
