Emmanuel Aidoo admitted his side lost the match in the first half as Eleven Wonders narrowly fell 1-0 to Heart of Lions at the Kpando Sports Stadium.
Heart of Lions secured victory to end an eight-match winless run and complete the double. Ishmael Addo scored the decisive goal in the 32nd minute. Wonders hoped to build on win over Basake Holy Stars but Lions held on.
Speaking after the game, the coach explained the defeat.
"We lost and we lost the game in the first half and as you can see the goal came in the first half. Seriously we were not ready in the first half because if you look at the way we played and we allowed the total dominance yes Heart of Lions dominated the game first and they created chances. That is why they were able to but the second half we also game back and had a couple of chances but we couldn't convert it,"
Eleven Wonders now face a tricky home test against Hearts of Oak on 24th January.
