A former Ashanti Regional Minister, Kofi Opoku Manu has been reported dead.
He passed away at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra Tuesday morning.
Mr Opoku Manu has been indisposed for some time now and so was hardly seen playing active roles for his party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He was the Ashanti Regional Minister between 2009 and 2011 having worked as a former Chief Director at the Ministry of Finance.
He was, however, removed from office by the president following agitations from some NDC activists that he was insensitive to their needs.
