Rocky Dawuni’s 'Shine a Light' features in American comedy starring Ice Cube

International Ghanaian Reggae singer Rocky Dawuni has recorded yet another enviable feat. The 2016 Grammy nominee’s recent single “Shine A Light” features in Richie Keen’s Fist Fight, starring Ice Cube.

A comedy film, the motion picture also stars Charlie Day, Christina Hendricks, Jillian Bell, and Tracy Morgan, and narrates the story of a teacher who is challenged to a duel by another after school.

The movie has grossed over $40 million worldwide since its release on February 13.

Described as a weaving of New Orleans, reggae, Samba, and an “anthem of positivity”, it comes off the singer’s sixth album, Branches of the Same Tree (Cumbancha) and visuals for the song, shot in Los Angeles, were handled by Myra Vides.
