Ghana captain Jordan Ayew says he is in no hurry to decide on the next chapter of his career as he prepares to leave Leicester City when his contract expires at the end of June 2026.
The experienced forward is focused on Ghana’s upcoming World Cup campaign and insists that any decision regarding his next club will be made only after careful discussions with his family and representatives.
Ayew joined Leicester City from Crystal Palace in 2024, adding another chapter to a career that has also included spells with Swansea City and Aston Villa.
With his current deal set to expire at the end of June, speculation has begun to grow over where the Ghana international could play next.
However, the striker has made it clear that he is not feeling any pressure to make an immediate decision.
Speaking about his future, Ayew revealed that his priority is fully concentrating on the 2026 FIFA World Cup before considering any transfer opportunities.
“When the time comes, I'll make the decision with my family and representatives [on my future club]. There's no rush. I just want to enjoy myself at the World Cup,” Ayew said in a pre-match interview ahead of Ghana’s friendly against Wales.
That important warm-up encounter is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, and will kick off at 6:45 pm.
