Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) vice president Fred Pappoe has praised some club owners for their continued investment and commitment to the development of Ghana football despite the challenges facing the local game.
Speaking on Sporty FM, Pappoe acknowledged the efforts of football administrators and investors who continue to provide better environments for players and clubs.
According to him, some clubs have been able to keep players longer because of the conditions and structures put in place by their owners.
“We have the Nations FC and the rest because they enjoy the kind of environments they are given,” he said.
Pappoe specifically commended Moses Parker and Kwame Kyei for their contribution to the growth of the domestic game.
“Moses Parker, Dr Kwame Kyei and the rest, they are doing quite tremendous, so I encourage them to keep doing that,” he added.
The former GFA vice president stressed that improving financing, sponsorship and the overall football environment would help clubs become more stable and competitive while attracting supporters back to stadiums.
