Andre Ayew has expressed his determination to make an immediate impact at NAC Breda after completing his move to the Dutch Eredivisie side.
He describes the club’s survival fight as a challenge he is fully prepared to embrace as NAC Breda sit bottom of the Dutch top flight.
The experienced Ghanaian forward said his decision to join NAC was driven by the opportunity to contribute meaningfully both on and off the pitch, as the club targets safety in the top flight during the second half of the season.
“I’m someone who really enjoys challenges, both personally and as part of a team. I find that here at NAC,” Ayew said. “I want to do everything I can to help the club and my teammates. We’re in a situation where staying in the Eredivisie is the only thing that matters.”
Ayew stressed the importance of mentality as NAC look to climb away from danger, pointing to unity and belief as key factors in their campaign.
“The mental aspect is perhaps the most important thing in this situation,” he added. “Together with our supporters, we must fight this battle head-on in the second half of the season.”
The former Ghana captain brings vast experience to Breda, having played at the highest level in France, England, and Turkey, as well as on the international stage.
NAC will hope his leadership and composure prove decisive as they prepare to resume league action in January.
